Armistice Day - Remembrance Sunday

jeudi 19 novembre 2015

November 11th is Armistice Day -the day when we remember all

those who fought for us during The Great War - The First World War.

In Britain we commemorate this day on Remberance Sunday (the Sunday after November 11th).

It is the tradition in Britain and other

English speaking countries to wear a

poppy on this day.

But why do we wear poppies ?

Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang remind us of Armistice Day and the poem In Flanders’ Fields.
